b17.gif (24312 bytes)When we were about to go into Long John Silver's to enjoy a good chicken plate meal, this old fellow on  a ten speed came riding through the parking lot and rode along a curb and then tipped and flipped through the bushes.   When he got up we could see his arm and face were all bloody, his eye was swollen up, and he was pretty incoherant.  Either somebody had beaten him up or he had fallen a bunch of times.  He was pretty drunk and the cops came and handdcuffed him and took him away.

There was a contest at Kalamazoo's skatepark on August 3rd, 2003.  It seemed like a good time.  Lots of lads rode pretty good, Jeff Degrist killed the pro class with this big fufanu on the wedged wallride.

back in the olden days, the skatepark in Kalamazoo was the only park in the state.   It's where I first learned to jump a spine and do many other miniramp tricks.   I'd drive out there every weekend during the winter and do stunts there in the freezing cold because they had no heat.  It was always fun and innocent good times though.  The spine used to seem big and scary and hard to do stuff on.  Now, after not going there for years and  going back to ride it, it's not so big and scary anymore.
